A Newness Born Profound

Disillusionment wanes
the blizzard burns
A renegade translucency
Of foes and friends alike
Who stands beyond the blackened turrets
What strength is captive there
A fear, a spoiled wreckage
Or a pearl in sand still hid
The moss grown thicker
soot gone blacker
But a newness born profound
Where there is blood there is the spirit
The smoke, the fire burns
And the tallest shadow quakens
As the birds resume their song

  1. This took my breath away. I think I need to put it on my wall to read it every day.

    • Oh, you know I would LOVE and be honored by that more than I could say. 😀
